Lesson Summary: In this lesson, you'll learn how to solve more complicated types of equations in algebra. Specifically, we'll learn how to solve equations that require multiple steps to isolate the variable. In some problems, we'll have to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all in an effort to solve for the variable. We also will in many cases have to work with fractions in order to solve for the unknown variable.
These types of problems give many students problems, but they are in fact very easy to solve when the student has practice with these types of problems. Here we work problems that are designed to build skills and confidence in this area.
